I am Susana Esclusa, an passionate watercolor artist. Contemporary artist based in Sitges, Barcelona. My artistic journey began with my training at the prestigious Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam, complemented by various painting and drawing courses at the Barcelona Art Academy. Throughout my career, I've had the pleasure of exhibiting solo at the Danubio Art Gallery in Sitges, as well as in temporary exhibitions in Tossa de Mar, and I've actively participated in several local art fairs in Catalonia.I'm an artist passionate about capturing the beauty of everyday life through watercolor.I sign my works as 'SUEE' because it represents my artistic identity and the journey I have taken in art. It is not just a signature, but a declaration of creative independence, a reflection of my evolution, and the way I see the world through watercolor. 'SUEE' is my essence captured in every brushstroke, a deep connection to my passion for art, and the expression of my personal style.

About my artwork

My style, steeped in modern impressionism, is defined by loose, spontaneous brushstrokes that bring to life scenes full of light and atmosphere. With a palette that plays with cool and warm tones, I seek to convey the essence of a moment: the bustle of a Parisian café, the calm of a cloudy morning, or the spark of a conversation between friends.Each work is a reflection of my love for movement, human interaction, and the magic of those small details that we often overlook. The watercolor technique allows me to explore a wide range of subjects, from landscapes and the human figure to interiors, still lifes, and floral motifs.My technique is based on the fluidity of watercolor, a medium that allows me to explore transparency and light in a unique way. I am inspired by the spaces we inhabit and the emotions that connect us, working with dynamic compositions that invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the scene. Through my art, I want you to feel the freshness of any given day, as if you were sitting at that coffee table, looking at the world with new eyes.
